Great job Franklin Twp Police academyAs you all know, at the end of 2017 we had a rash of car burglaries in our town. In one of these burglaries a purse and credit cards were stolen. The credit cards were then used at a local store where a pair of Jordan Sneakers and other Nike Gear was purchased.

The store was paid for their merchandise by the credit card company. The victim was reimbursed for all fraudulent charges by the credit card company as well. At this point, the credit card company was the proud owner of all the fraudulently purchased items. They contact Det. Mark Keller and advised him that he should donate the items to someone who deserved them. Det. Keller met with Officer Al Burwell, the High School's SRO, to discuss this. They both immediately thought of Jerijah McCray. Jerijah is a FHS student and was a graduate of the FTPD Junior Police Academy. He has proven himself time and time again as a leader among his peers. Here he is with his mother Tanya McCray, Det. Keller, Sgt. Schwarz and Lt. Reiner picking up his new garb.

On a side note. Those that committed the burglary were arrested and charged with the theft. We will chalk this up as a win for the good guys!!!!
